Job summary

Brava Education is partnering with a Leicestershire primary school to appoint an Interim Teaching and Learning Leader from January 2027. The role blends hands-on teaching in an EYFS/KS1 class with leadership duties to bolster teaching and learning ahead of an Ofsted inspection.

You will support the Headteacher, coach colleagues, and act as Deputy DSL while delivering classroom instruction four days a week and maintaining strong SEND support in a small school setting.

Qualifications

• Experience at Assistant Headteacher or Key Stage Leader level.
• Strong track record of improving teaching and learning.
• Excellent EYFS/KS1 teaching experience and willingness to remain hands-on in the classroom.
• Confidence supporting pupils with complex SEND needs.
• Ability to coach and support colleagues to develop their practice.
• DSL and Ofsted experience would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

Job description

Brava Education is working with a primary school in Leicestershire, who are looking for an experienced Interim Teaching and Learning Leader to support the Headteacher in strengthening teaching and learning from January 2027.

The role

This is a hands-on leadership role within a small primary school. You will work closely with the Headteacher to develop teaching and learning across the school and help prepare for an upcoming Ofsted inspection, while continuing to make a real difference in the classroom.

You will teach an EYFS/KS1 class four days a week, with dedicated time for PPA and leadership responsibilities. The class includes pupils with complex SEND needs, and you will work closely with the nursery team to support continuity and development.
