This communications agency within the government sector is looking for an interim Senior Account Executive for an initial period of 3 months.

As an Interim Senior Account Executive, you will work for a dynamic communication agency operating within the government sector. Your responsibilities include delivering strategic communications activities to support the organisation's vision and to protect and enhance its reputation. Reporting to an Account Director and working as part of a small team, you will handle reactive and proactive media relations, including writing press releases for national media and navigating complex relationships within government, especially local government.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering significant, strategically focused media coverage.
• Generating and developing newsworthy content, stories, and features.
• Providing reactive crisis support to protect corporate reputation.
• Working with key political stakeholders.
• Collaborating closely with the communications delivery team to ensure aligned media positioning, monitoring, and management of external relationships.
• Building and maintaining effective relationships with external clients, offering innovative and solutions-focused communications consultancy.
• Supporting the wider team with out-of-hours media handling.
