Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment LTD. is seeking an experienced Interim SENDCo to lead the school's Special Educational Needs provision during a planned absence in Liverpool's central area.

You will oversee a team of learning support assistants and ensure continued support across Key Stages 3 to 5. The role requires QTS with NASENCO desirable, proven SENDCo experience in a mainstream secondary setting, and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• QTS is essential.
• NASENCO qualification is desirable/required.
• Experience as SENDCo in a mainstream secondary school.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• DBS Update Service (Enhanced DBS) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate SEND policy across the school.
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, parents and external agencies.
• Maintain SEND register, EHCPs and student profiles.
• Guide staff on differentiated learning strategies.
