Contract | Full-time | Competitive Daily Rate | Duration : Interim / contract – 3 months Sheridan Maine are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of our client in Weymouthfor an experienced Interim Financial Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a well-established organisation, supporting their finance team during a busy period. Key Responsibilities :

  • Prepare accurate and timely management and statutory accounts.
  • Maintain the general ledger and ensure all balance sheet reconciliations are up to date.
  • Produce month-end and year-end reporting packs, including analysis and commentary for management.
  • Manage accruals, prepayments, and intercompany transactions.
  • Review and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow monitoring.
  • Liaise with auditors and assist with audit preparation.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, or ACA).
  • Experience preparing statutory accounts, management accounts, and supporting audits.
  • Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles
  • Ideally trained in practice, with experience in a professional accounting environment.
