Job Title: Intensive Night Support Worker
Location: Manby Street - Lincolnshire
Salary: PAYE: £14.72 per hour / Umbrella: £19.43 per hour
Role Overview
The Intensive Night Support Worker will act as the first point of contact during night hours, providing direct support within a safe, positive, and empowering home environment. The role requires maintaining safety, responding to incidents professionally, and supporting individuals to meet their goals and responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
Direct Support
- Act as the first point of contact at night, offering support and guidance to residents within the home.
- Implement safety plans as required for each individual.
- Maintain accurate and robust records of activities within the property and any behavioural observations.
- Contribute to achieving overall SMART action plans for each person.
- Respond calmly and professionally to challenging behaviour, using verbal de-escalation techniques and prioritising personal safety.
- Encourage residents to be considerate neighbours by addressing noise, visitors, and antisocial behaviour in line with Nacro policies, liaising with local police or ASB teams when necessary.
- Address property-related complaints professionally and report all issues to the line manager.
- Support individuals in accessing emergency healthcare during night hours.
- Ensure accommodation remains safe and clean by completing required cleaning duties.
- Ensure adherence to Nacro's visitor policy and take appropriate action when breaches occur.
- Report serious incidents, including missing-from-placement situations, to children's services and the police following procedure.
- Apply personal safety procedures at all times.
- Work from other hub locations within Lincolnshire as required.
Organisational Performance & Compliance
- Carry out all required health and safety checks and take remedial action where needed.
- Set and meet individual performance targets, ensuring delivery within income and budget expectations.
- Maintain up-to-date records using appropriate systems and produce reports within required timeframes.
- Positively represent Nacro and work collaboratively with colleagues to support service users effectively.
- Adhere to all safeguarding, data protection and statutory duties, ensuring compliance and promoting best practice.
- Uphold and promote Nacro's Equality and Diversity Policy.
- Remain up to date with sector regulations and ensure service delivery meets all compliance requirements, including participating in audits and inspections.
- Carry out any other reasonable duties aligned with the role and grade.
