You will be responsible for the validation of new equipment, managing vertical start-ups, and ensuring that new CapEx integrations meet performance targets with minimal disruption to ongoing operations.

Key Responsibilities

Validation, Testing & Installation

  • Lead the development of test plans to verify functionality, process windows, and equipment reliability (including FAT, SAT, Validation, and Commissioning).
  • Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT).
  • Prepare detailed installation plans and ensure full validation of equipment.
  • Ensure all equipment and installations conform to Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) standards, international regulations, and company policies (including LOTO, guarding, and controls).

Integration & Start-Up

  • Own the integration of new equipment validation and vertical start-up into the existing manufacturing process.
  • Manage the ramp-up phase, providing technical assistance to maintain long-term capability, hit OEE targets, and drive Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives.
  • Ensure minimal disruption to daily operations during software or equipment integration, proactively addressing roadblocks.
  • Analyze and bridge gaps between anticipated and actual performance of new CapEx integrations.

Process Optimization & Maintenance

  • Develop "center lining" of equipment to optimize performance and ensure reliability.
  • Coordinate existing tools and resources to support maintenance programs and maximize up-time.
  • Diagnose and resolve integration issues, working closely with engineering teams and vendors to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.

Collaboration & Documentation

  • Coordinate the handover to other departments (Operations, Maintenance, Quality) to ensure a smooth production ramp-up aligned with company objectives.
  • Lead equipment documentation, including architecture diagrams, specifications, test reports, and maintenance/control plans.
  • Ensure training plans and competence assessments are completed for site staff on new equipment and applications.
  • Manage vendor alignment meetings to ensure specifications are met and issues are resolved efficiently.
About You

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong engineering background within a manufacturing environment. You should be:

  • Experienced: Proven experience in equipment integration, NPI (New Product Introduction), or process engineering.
