Job summary

Gallagher in Bournemouth is hiring an Insurance Account Handler to service a growing client book across the UK. You’ll drive renewals, pursue new business, and support colleagues to meet client demands with proactive communication.

You’ll bring solid general insurance knowledge, discuss terms with clients and brokers, and deliver excellent service, with opportunities for Chartered Institute qualifications and career development.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar insurance handler role.
• Strong knowledge of general insurance products and services.
• Knowledge of London Market, Lloyd's and industry networks.
• Desirable: Chartered Institute qualifications (Dip CII/Cert CII).
• Due diligence in administration, policy documents and processes.
• Excellent client service focus; client is the priority.
• Ability to generate and drive new business with clear communication.
• Effective communication across phone, email and in-person.
• Comfort with ambiguity and high attention to detail.
• Willing to work in the UK and meet residentship requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and grow a book of business by securing new leads and managing renewals.
• Oversee renewal and new business processes for clients; gather information from clients and prospects.
• Discuss renewal terms with customers and brokers and seek competitive options.
• Meet with clients as appropriate to strengthen relationships.
• Address account queries and credit control matters promptly with the right teams.
