Job summary

Bushbury School in Wolverhampton (WV10) seeks an inspirational SENCO to support pupils aged 7-19 with Autism and SLCN. You will lead SEN provision under Horizon Care and Education, with strong leadership, collaboration, and a commitment to high-quality teaching and learning.

The role is based on-site at a newly designed, bright school with supportive leadership and opportunities to develop within a holistic curriculum and strong Local Authority partnerships.

Qualifications

Must hold a SENCO Qualification or be close to completing.
Must have a QTS status.
Make a valuable contribution to the offering that young people receive at the school as part of the provision of high-quality teaching and learning.
Have some experience of working effectively with local authorities.
Have a passion for ensuring all young people succeed.
Be able to work effectively within a supportive, committed, and successful staff team.
Have high aspirations for themselves and others, and a commitment to further development.
Have a robust understanding of SEND Code of Practice
An understanding of SEMH education and how to support the additional needs associated with SEMH pupils.
