Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking experienced Secondary SEN Teachers to join specialist SEN schools on a long-term basis near Cannock. The role involves delivering engaging lessons to students with autism, ADHD, MLD and other needs, while aligning with EHCP targets.

The ideal candidate holds QTS or equivalent, with a track record in SEN settings, strong classroom management, and a commitment to safeguarding. DBS Update Service preferred. Right to work in the UK is required.

Qualifications

• QTS/QTLS or equivalent required to teach in SEN settings.
• Demonstrated ability to manage diverse classrooms with SEN students.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons to secondary SEN students.
• Create a structured, inclusive learning environment.
• Adapt teaching strategies to meet EHCP targets and needs.
• Collaborate with TAs, SENCOs, therapists and other professionals.
• Assess and track student progress and implement interventions.
• Support social, emotional and behavioural development.
