Job summary

Baston House School in Bromley, Kent, is looking for an inspirational SEN Teacher to join our specialist team and transform the lives of pupils with ASC and related needs. You will deliver highly personalised lessons and work with families, therapists and staff to promote academic, social and emotional progress.

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is required, with experience of SEND and a commitment to inclusive learning.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching children and young people with SEND or strong commitment to specialist education.
• Ability to create inclusive learning environments where every child is valued and supported.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver personalised lessons tailored to individual learning needs and EHCP targets.
• Adapt teaching approaches and resources to ensure access to learning for every pupil.
• Monitor and assess progress, celebrating achievements and informing future teaching.
• Support pupils' social, emotional and behavioural development using positive approaches.
• Collaborate with therapists, families and external professionals for holistic support.
• Contribute to annual reviews, progress meetings and pupil reports.
• Participate in enrichment activities, educational visits and school events.
