Job summary

Baston House School in Bromley, Kent, is looking for an inspirational SEN Teacher to join our specialist team and transform the lives of pupils with ASC and related needs. You will deliver highly personalised lessons and work with families, therapists and staff to promote academic, social and emotional progress.

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is required, with experience of SEND and a commitment to inclusive learning.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver personalised lessons tailored to individual learning needs and EHCP targets.

• Monitor and assess progress, celebrating achievements and informing future teaching.
• Support pupils' social, emotional and behavioural development using positive approaches.
• Collaborate with therapists, families and external professionals for holistic support.
• Contribute to annual reviews, progress meetings and pupil reports.
• Participate in enrichment activities, educational visits and school events.

Job description

We're looking for an inspirational SEN Teacher to join our specialist team and help transform the lives of pupils with additional needs. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic educator who is committed to delivering highly personalised learning and enabling pupils to achieve meaningful academic, social and emotional progress.

As an SEN Teacher, you'll deliver engaging, inclusive and ambitious learning tailored to the individual needs of pupils with SEND. Working closely with a multi-disciplinary team, you'll create a safe and positive learning environment where every achievement is celebrated and every pupil is supported to reach their potential.

You'll build strong relationships with pupils, families and colleagues, helping young people develop confidence, independence and the skills they need for life beyond school.

Planning and delivering personalised lessons that meet pupils' individual learning needs, EHCP outcomes and developmental targets.

Adapting teaching approaches, resources and communication methods to ensure every pupil can access learning successfully.

Monitoring and assessing progress, using evidence to inform future teaching and celebrate achievement.

Supporting pupils' social, emotional and behavioural development through positive and relational approaches.

Working collaboratively with therapists, support staff, families and external professionals to provide holistic support.

Contributing to annual reviews, progress meetings and pupil reports.

Playing an active role in the wider life of the school, including enrichment activities, educational visits and school events.
