Marchant Recruitment is assisting a King’s Lynn secondary school to hire a dedicated Mathematics Teacher. The role focuses on delivering high-quality Mathematics teaching across key stages, with emphasis on building number, algebra, geometry and problem-solving skills.

You will plan lessons carefully, assess progress, and adapt approaches to meet learner needs while working collaboratively within the maths department and broader school community.

Qualifications

• A degree in Mathematics or a relevant subject.
• QTS and a recognised teaching qualification, or an appropriate equivalent.
• Experience teaching Mathematics or demonstrable teaching competence.
• Strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills.
• Commitment to student progress, safeguarding and professional development.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsabilités

• Deliver well-planned Mathematics lessons that follow the relevant curriculum and examination requirements.
• Develop students’ confidence in applying mathematical methods to a range of problems.
• Adapt teaching resources to meet individual learning needs and different levels of attainment.
• Assess progress regularly and use the findings to inform lesson planning.
• Provide clear feedback and targeted support to improve student understanding.
• Promote positive behaviour, independent learning and active participation.
• Work with departmental colleagues to maintain consistent teaching and assessment approaches.
• Contribute to meetings, curriculum development and wider school activities.
