Job summary

Marchant Recruitment is helping a Buckinghamshire secondary academy recruit a Teacher of Mathematics for a full-time, permanent post starting in January. You will teach across KS3, KS4 and potentially KS5, delivering rigorous lessons and leading targeted revision sessions.

Working with a collaborative maths team, you will develop students’ numerical fluency, modeling, and problem-solving. The role includes pastoral duties and opportunities to use digital learning tools.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or recognized UK teaching credentials (PGCE / SCITT)
• Honors degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Physics, or a quantitative discipline
• Proven track record (or clear potential during training) for delivering strong GCSE/A-Level Mathematics outcomes
• Deep subject knowledge and the confidence to stretch mathematically ambitious pupils
• Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service or willingness to apply

Responsibilities

• Teach engaging and mathematically rigorous lessons across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Key Stage 5
• Plan and deliver lessons that build numerical fluency, mathematical modeling, and problem-solving resilience
• Guide GCSE and A-Level pupils through structured assessment, feedback, and written exam preparation
• Utilize digital learning platforms and interactive software to enhance mathematical understanding
• Assess, track, and report on student progress across formal mock exams and classwork
• Fulfill pastoral duties as a Form Tutor, supporting student wellbeing and personal development
