Job summary

Randstad is partnering with a welcoming primary school in Watford to recruit a Qualified Primary Teacher (QTS) for an immediate-start, long-term contract. You will deliver differentiated lessons, lead Teaching Assistants, and support pupils across Key Stage 1 and 2 to achieve high attainment and well-being.

The role requires a solid grasp of the National Curriculum, adaptable teaching methods, strong behaviour management, and collaboration with SENCOs and school leaders to support SEND/EAL

Qualifications

• QTS required for the role.
• Strong knowledge of primary curriculum and adaptive teaching approaches.
• Ability to maintain positive behaviour and a supportive classroom environment.
• Experience collaborating with SENCOs, coordinators and leadership.
• DBS Update Service clearance or willingness to apply.

Responsibilities

• Adapted Curriculum Delivery: plan and deliver differentiated lessons aligned with National Curriculum.
• Core Subject Mastery: use interactive tools and phonics schemes to improve pupil progress.
• Classroom Team Leadership: mentor and supervise teaching assistants to ensure a safe, organised space.
• Progress Assessment & Tracking: monitor pupil milestones and celebrate achievement.
• Multidisciplinary Collaboration: support SEND and EAL pupils with leaders and SENCO.
• Parental Partnerships: communicate progress with parents and carers.
