Job summary

Prospero Teaching is recruiting a dedicated Primary SEN Teacher for Acocks Green, Birmingham. This full-time, term-time role starts ASAP with potential temporary to permanent progression.

You will plan and deliver engaging lessons for primary pupils with SEND, adapt to varied abilities, monitor progress, and collaborate with TAs and the SEN team to support academic, social and emotional development.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent required.
• Experience working with pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is essential.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management abilities.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Up-to-date safeguarding training (or willingness to complete).
• Right to Work in the UK and enhanced DBS on Update Service (or willingness to apply).

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to primary-aged pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
• Differentiate learning to meet a range of abilities and needs.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
• Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback.
• Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs, and wider school staff.
• Support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development.
