Job summary

Prospero Teaching is actively seeking dedicated Primary SEN Teachers for Solihull-based temporary to permanent opportunities starting ASAP. This role is full-time, term-time only, with a rewarding environment supporting students with special educational needs.

You will plan and deliver engaging lessons, differentiate to meet diverse abilities, and work closely with Teaching Assistants and SENCOs to monitor progress and foster an inclusive classroom culture.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience working within SEN settings or supporting pupils with additional needs.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Up-to-date safeguarding training (or willingness to complete).
• Right to Work in the UK.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
• References available upon request.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to primary-aged pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
• Differentiate learning to meet a range of abilities and needs.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
• Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback.
• Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs, and wider school staff.
• Support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development.
