Job summary

Education Authority (Northern Ireland) is seeking a Teacher - Post-Primary to join our team and deliver high-quality mathematics education across Key Stage 3. You will plan lessons, deliver engaging lessons, assess pupils, and contribute to the school community under the direction of the principal.

Essential criteria include a recognised teaching qualification to teach Mathematics, a degree or equivalent to teach Mathematics as main subject, and registration with GTCNI.

Qualifications

• Hold a teaching qualification which meets the requirements for recognition to teach Mathematics in grant-aided schools in Northern Ireland.
• Hold a degree or equivalent Level 6 qualification which has prepared the applicant to teach Mathematics as his/her main subject.
• Be registered with the General Teaching Council for Northern Ireland (GTCNI) before taking up post.

Responsibilities

• Teach Mathematics to pupils according to educational needs, including planning, delivering lessons, and assessing progress.
• Provide advice and guidance to pupils and communicate with parents as required.
• Work under the direction of the principal and contribute to school activities and planning.
