Job summary

Education Authority in Northern Ireland invites applications for a Teacher - Post-Primary at Priory Integrated College in Down-Holywood. The post is fixed-term until 30 June 2027, with a Main Pay Scale range £32,916–£50,876 per annum and full-time hours.

The successful candidate will plan and deliver Mathematics (and IT where appropriate) to Key Stage 3 pupils, assess progress, provide feedback, and contribute to safeguarding and school development in line with Northern Ireland guidance.

Qualifications

• Hold a teaching qualification that meets the requirements for recognition to teach in grant-aided schools in Northern Ireland.
• Hold a degree or equivalent in Mathematics or IT related subject, or A Levels in Math/IT.
• Proven ability to teach Mathematics at Key Stage 3 and IT at Key Stage 3.
• Strong numeracy pedagogy and classroom management.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare courses and lessons; teach according to pupils' educational needs including setting and marking work.
• Assess, record and report on pupil development, progress and attainment.
• Promote the general progress and well-being of pupils; provide guidance on education and future careers.
• Communicate with parents and collaborate with colleagues to support pupil learning.
