Job summary

County Hotel is seeking a Night Porter for overnight shifts (typically 11pm to 7am, site-dependent). Successful applicants will undergo a DBS check as part of recruitment.

You will greet late arrivals, walk-ins and guests with a warm welcome, support front-of-house tasks, and help maintain safe, secure premises. This role suits someone who works well independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Be the first point of contact when checking in late arrivals and walk-ins.
• Provide a warm, friendly and genuine welcome to all guests.
• Role may include front-of-house cleaning, breakfast areas, and setting up meeting rooms.
• Prioritize guest and business safety and security at all times.
• Assist in fire evacuations safely and quickly.
• Answer telephone enquiries and handle guest complaints to ensure a pleasant stay.

Successful applicants will be required to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check as part of the recruitment process.

WHAT YOU'LL DO IN THIS ROLE:

• Be the first point of contact when checking in late arrivals and walk-ins.
• Ensure a warm, friendly and genuine welcome to all guests.
• The role is varied and, depending on your site, may include: cleaning tasks within the front of house, external and breakfast areas, setting up the meeting room(s) and breakfast for the next day
• You'll ensure guest and business safety and security is top priority at all times.
• In the event of a fire, evacuating all guests and team from the business safely and quickly
• Answer telephone enquiries and deal with guest complaints to ensure everyone enjoys their stay.
