Job summary

M&B in the United Kingdom is seeking a Night Porter to welcome guests and maintain security from 11pm to 7am. You’ll check in late arrivals, handle front-of-house duties, and assist with breakfast setup on site.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for late arrivals and walk-ins.
• Provide a warm welcome and ensure guest comfort.

• Evacuate guests and team safely in case of fire.
• Answer calls and handle guest inquiries and complaints.

Job description

This is an overnight position, with shifts typically ranging from 11pm to 7am (depending on the site).

Successful applicants will be required to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check as part of the recruitment process.

WHAT YOU'LL DO IN THIS ROLE:

• Be the first point of contact when checking in late arrivals and walk-ins.
• Ensure a warm, friendly and genuine welcome to all guests.
• The role is varied and, depending on your site, may include: cleaning tasks within the front of house, external and breakfast areas, setting up the meeting room(s) and breakfast for the next day
• You’ll ensure guest and business safety and security is top priority at all times.
• In the event of a fire, evacuating all guests and team from the business safely and quickly
• Answer telephone enquiries and deal with guest complaints to ensure everyone enjoys their stay.
