Job summary

Coster UK at the Barlborough site is seeking an experienced Injection Moulder to join our expanding FMCG manufacturing team. You will operate Engel and Demag moulding machines and work across rotation shifts, conducting quality checks and maintenance to ensure products meet customer specifications.

The role requires an industry-recognised injection moulding qualification, mechanical/electrical experience, and a proactive approach to safety, hygiene and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Injection moulding qualification recognised by industry.
• Ability to read technical drawings and manuals.
• Fault finding to component level and basic electrical/mechanical knowledge.
• Strong Health and Safety awareness and hygiene standards.
• Willingness to work unsupervised and provide cross-shift cover.
• Analytical thinker with good computer skills and record keeping.

Responsibilities

• Operate Injection M moulding machines (Engel and Demag) and assembly lines on a rotation.
• Perform quality checks to ensure products meet customer specs and record results.
• Carry out intermittent tool changes and maintenance of lines and equipment.
• Support preventive and corrective maintenance; document changes and actions.
• Respond to breakdowns and perform limited repairs on automated lines.
• Install/modify equipment and manage material conveyance systems.
• Ensure safe working practices and contribute to Kaizen continuous improvement.
• Provide cover for holidays and other absences when required.

We are seeking to hire an experienced Injection Moulder to complement our expanding global business in this FMCG sector based at our Barlborough site. About the role:

• Operation of Injection Moulding machines (Engel and Demag) and Actuator assembly production lines working on a rotational basis.
• Perform quality control tasks according to cycle of control to ensure products conform to customer specifications taking full responsibility for accurate and timely checks.
• Intermittent tool changes and processing as and when required.
• Perform competent and comprehensive preventative and technical maintenance of production lines including cleaning and lubrication of equipment and systems.
• Breakdown repairs and reactive maintenance of automated assembly lines as well as packaging and palletisation equipment
• Installation of new equipment/machinery and modification of existing equipment when required.
• Operation and maintenance of material conveyance system (Motan)
• Operation of chiller systems
• Undertaking troubleshooting and problem solving to tightly controlled and monitored standards with the ability to accurately document changes whilst adhering to quality standards.
• Continuous improvement (Kaizen System) - Design, Develop and implementation of ideas.
• Being an ambassador for safe working practices and the business's clean as you go policy.

Do you have:

• An industry recognised injection moulding qualification
• Mechanical and electrical experience advantageous
• Pneumatic maintenance experience
• Ability to read technical drawings and manuals.
• Ability to fault find to component level.
• Strong awareness of Health and Safety requirements
• Awareness of quality and hygiene standards and their relevance in manufacturing
• Ability to work unsupervised outside office hours in a responsible and safe manner in the company's best interests.
• Analytical and computer skills
• Willingness to develop personal skills and abilities in line with the company's route to progression.
• The desire to lead by example
• Flexibility to provide additional cover for holidays, absence, training etc
• Be able to handle boxes of components and pallets up to 10kg in weight and in line with HSE guidelines on manual handling.
