Coster Aerosols Uk Ltd is hiring a Machine Operator at our Barlborough site. The role involves operating and monitoring automated packaging and assembly equipment, performing changeovers, and upholding SOPs in a fast-paced production environment.

You will contribute to quality control, data recording, and continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining a safe, clean workplace and working across shifts with occasional overtime.

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating multiple types of automated production or assembly machinery.
• Background in manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Experience with machine changeovers, setups, and adjustments.
• Demonstrated ability to work in high-volume or fast-paced production settings.
• Experience following SOPs (standard operating procedures).

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor a range of automated machines (packaging & assembly).
• Perform machine changeovers, setups and adjustments as needed.
• Maintain clean and safe work area and monitor quality.
• Record production data accurately and report anomalies.
• Support continuous improvement activities.

Job description

We are seeking to hire a Machine Operator to complement our expanding global business in the FMCG sector based at our Barlborough site. If you are enthusiastic, focussed and ambitious with the desire to develop in a thriving business then this could be the role for you.

Experience

• Proven experience operating multiple types of automated production or Assembly machinery, including packaging, end of line & automation
• Background in manufacturing or industrial environments
• Experience with machine changeovers, setups, and adjustments
• Demonstrated ability to work in high-volume or fast-paced production settings
• Experience following standard operating procedures (SOPs)

Technical Skills

• Ability to operate and monitor a range of automated machines (primarily packaging & assembly)
• Basic mechanical fault finding and first-line maintenance
• Understanding of tolerances and quality standards
• Competent with production data recording systems or paperwork
• Complete production to target output and quality standards
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Support continuous improvement activities

Health, Safety & Quality

• Strong awareness of Health & Safety regulations
• Knowledge of risk assessments and safe working practices
• Commitment to quality control and inspection procedures
• Ability to identify defects and take corrective action
• Compliance with ISO / GMP / Lean / 5S standards (where applicable)
