Job summary

Coster Aerosols at the Barlborough site requires a Machine Operator to support our 24/7 packaging and assembly operations. You will operate and monitor automated production lines, perform basic fault-finding, and record production data to ensure output targets and quality standards are met.

We value flexibility, teamwork and a proactive attitude toward safety. The role includes shift work with overtime and a comprehensive package of benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience operating automated production or assembly machinery.
• Background in manufacturing environments.
• Experience with machine changeovers, setups and adjustments.
• Ability to work in high volume or fast-paced production settings.
• Ability to follow SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor automated packaging/assembly lines to meet output targets.
• Conduct basic fault finding and perform first line maintenance.
• Record production data accurately and ensure quality standards are met.
• Identify defects and take corrective action to reduce scrap.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and adhere to HACCP/ISO basics.

Appointment Overview

We are seeking to hire a Machine Operator to complement our expanding global business in the FMCG sector based at our Barlborough site. If you are enthusiastic, focussed and ambitious with the desire to develop in a thriving business then this could be the role for you.

Experience

• Proven experience operating multiple types of automated production or Assembly machinery, including packaging, end of line & automation
• Background in manufacturing or industrial environments
• Experience with machine changeovers, setups, and adjustments
• Demonstrated ability to work in high volume or fast paced production settings
• Experience following standard operating procedures (SOPs)

Technical Skills

• Ability to operate and monitor a range of automated machines (primarily packaging & assembly)
• Basic mechanical fault finding and first line maintenance
• Understanding of tolerances and quality standards
• Competent with production data recording systems or paperwork
• Complete production to target output and quality standards
• Maintain a clean and safe work area

Health, Safety & Quality

• Strong awareness of Health & Safety regulations
• Knowledge of risk assessments and safe working practices
• Commitment to quality control and inspection procedures
• Ability to identify defects and take corrective action
• Compliance with ISO / GMP / Lean / 5S standards (where applicable)

• Reliable with a strong work ethic

Working Conditions

• Ability to work shift patterns and optional overtime

Practical

£13.89 per hour
