Injection Moulding Technician

Worcester | £31,500 Basic Salary + 25% Shift Allowance | Sunday to Thursday, 10:00pm to 6:00am

Are you an experienced Injection Moulding Technician looking to join a well-established manufacturing business with excellent benefits and long-term career prospects?

We are seeking a skilled Injection Moulding Technician to support our client in their production team in setting up, optimising and maintaining injection moulding processes to ensure high-quality plastic components are produced efficiently and consistently.

The Role

As an Injection Moulding Technician, you will be responsible for:

• Setting up production runs and carrying out first-off inspections
• Performing quality checks and optimising moulding cycles
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the moulding department
• Assisting in driving Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) performance
• Carrying out planned maintenance on machines and moulds
• Ensuring materials are correctly identified and processed
• Training and supporting operators where required
• Maintaining high standards of housekeeping, quality and health & safety at all times

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A minimum of 3 years' experience within an injection moulding environment
• IMT Level 3 qualification or equivalent industry experience
• Strong mechanical aptitude and fault-finding skills
• Good numeracy and literacy skills
• Experience of process optimisation and continuous improvement activities
• A positive, team-focused attitude and commitment to quality

Experience with lean manufacturing techniques, 5S, TPM, SPC, Poka-Yoke and OEE improvement activities would be advantageous.
