Job summary

Platinum Recruitment Consultancy is seeking an Injection Moulding Setter in Mere to join a well-established manufacturing team. You will set up machines, manage production plans, and ensure product quality in a supportive environment.

The role requires a professional qualification in Injection Moulding and Automated systems, with experience operating moulding machines and a focus on health and safety. Onsite gym and shift allowances are provided.

Qualifications

• Professional qualification in Injection Moulding and Automated systems.
• Understanding of general manufacturing practices.
• Experience operating injection moulding machines (8 years desirable).
• Ability to work to deadlines and communicate clearly.
• Health & safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Set up machines to specification and follow manufacturing plans.
• Perform scheduled maintenance and troubleshoot issues.
• Install mould tools and oversee machine setup for quality.
• Monitor materials and production stocks used by operators.
• Maintain clean, safe workspaces following H&S procedures.
• Check product quality against specifications and remediate as needed.
• Train operators on best manufacturing practices.
• Communicate daily with Mouldings Manager on production issues.
• Encourage efficient and effective practices across the team.

Injection Moulding Setter - Mere | Competitive £35,000 salary, shift allowance & onsite gym

We're looking for an experienced Injection Moulding Setter to join a well-established manufacturing team in Mere. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background as an Injection Moulding Technician or Mould Setter to work in a supportive environment, develop their skills, and contribute to high-quality production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up machines to specification and action manufacturing plans
• Perform scheduled maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical issues
• Safely install mould tools and oversee machine setup to ensure product quality
• Monitor materials and production stocks used by operators
• Maintain clean and safe workspaces, following H&S procedures
• Check product quality against specifications and implement remedial actions
• Support and train operators on best manufacturing practices
• Communicate daily with the Mouldings Manager on technical issues affecting production
• Encourage efficient and effective working practices across the team

What we're looking for:

• Professional qualification in Injection Moulding and Automated systems (E)
• Understanding of general manufacturing practices (E)
• Technical experience operating injection moulding machines (8 years desirable)
• Strong organisational skills and ability to work to deadlines
• Good written and verbal communication
• Awareness of Health & Safety practices
• IT and manufacturing systems knowledge
