Job summary

Stantec is seeking an Associate Director – Infrastructure Planning to lead major projects, shaping consent strategies across the UK.

You will provide strategic planning and EIA input, mentor teams, and build strong client relationships while navigating DCOs and other regimes.

This role offers a hybrid working model with opportunities for growth and chartered professional development within our national Infrastructure Planning team.

Qualifications

• MRTPI qualification or equivalent with substantial experience in major infrastructure projects.
• Proven track record leading complex planning projects, including DCOs.
• Strong knowledge of UK planning and infrastructure consenting landscape.
• Willingness to travel nationally and mentor others.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and consenting elements of major infrastructure projects, including DCOs.
• Provide strategic planning, consenting and EIA advice throughout the lifecycle.
• Manage complex projects to programme, budget and quality requirements.
• Build trusted client relationships and develop business opportunities.
• Lead project teams across planning, EIA and related disciplines.
• Support business development with proposals and client presentations.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor less experienced colleagues.
• Keep up to date with changes in planning policy and regimes.
• Travel nationally to support projects and teams.
