Job summary

Stantec Consulting International Ltd. is seeking an Associate Director – Infrastructure Planning to lead major infrastructure projects across the UK, including DCOs and other consenting regimes.

You will provide strategic planning and advisory services, build strong client relationships, and mentor teams within a national Infrastructure Planning group. You will influence projects in renewable energy, highways, airports, ports and other sectors, while supporting growth and ensuring delivery to

Qualifications

• MRTPI qualification or equivalent (major infrastructure planning)
• Proven track record leading and managing complex planning projects
• Strong knowledge of the UK planning and infrastructure consenting landscape
• Experience providing strategic planning and consenting advice to clients
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client/stakeholder relationships
• Strong project management skills with ability to manage complex workloads
• Proactive, commercially aware and results-driven
• Ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams
• Experience mentoring or leading other professionals
• Willingness to travel nationally as required

Responsibilities

• Leading the planning and consenting elements of major infrastructure projects, including DCOs and other regimes.
• Providing strategic planning, consenting and EIA advice throughout the project lifecycle.
• Managing complex planning projects to programme, budget and quality requirements.
• Acting as a trusted adviser to clients and developing long-term relationships.
• Leading project teams and collaborating across planning, EIA and other technical disciplines.
• Supporting business development by identifying opportunities and contributing to proposals.
• Providing technical leadership and mentoring less experienced colleagues.
• Keeping up to date with changes to planning policy, legislation and consenting regimes.
• Travel nationally to support projects, clients and teams.
