Job summary

Croydon Health Services NHS Trust is looking for a Main Area Associate Infrastructure Engineer to join the Digital Services team. The post supports both acute and community sites, ensuring infrastructure systems run reliably and securely, with proactive monitoring to minimise downtime.

The role requires experience across servers, storage, networking and telecoms, plus handling incidents, deployments and project work in a large Microsoft-based environment. Hybrid working and NHS benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Degree level or equivalent in a computer-based discipline.
• Technical knowledge of servers, storage, network and telecoms systems.
• Evidence of continuous professional development.

Responsibilities

• Support all aspects of the Trust’s infrastructure
• Deploy, maintain, monitor and troubleshoot systems and hardware
• Manage and maintain the Trust’s 3rd line infrastructure systems
• Configure, document and control the digital infrastructure to NHS security standards
• Ensure infrastructure compliance to the DSPT Toolkit and NHS England cyber security practices
• Undertake and/or support technical projects as required
• Specialist knowledge in server and storage solutions, focusing on virtualised environments
• Generalist knowledge across infrastructure including Telecoms, Networking or Architecture
