Job summary

East and North Hertfordshire Teaching NHS Trust in Stevenage is seeking a Digital Infrastructure Lead (Band 8a) to manage operating systems, databases and infrastructure hardware for the Trust. The role oversees 2nd/3rd line support and requires strong IT operations and security expertise.

The post holder will drive ITIL-aligned processes, manage teams, and ensure continuity and resilience of digital services across NHS facilities.

Qualifications

Relevant degree or equivalent experience in IT or related field.
Experience in Hyper converged systems, virtual technologies, networking and telecoms.
ITIL Foundation certification, or equivalent experience
High standard of literacy and numeracy
ITIL Practitioner or Intermediate certification in Service Operation, or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

Service Delivery & Support: Ensure timely resolution of incidents raised to the teams via the service desk or by other means.
Manage escalations where the quality of service provided does not meet the requirements of the user.
Provide and maintain a suitable hosting environment for all computer room equipment, including air conditioning, Networking, UPSs and the electrical environment.
Ensure that the trusts IT systems have full housekeeping, back-up and security procedures, incorporating anti-virus checking, back-up regimes and full Disaster Recovery capabilities.
Develop and maintain a comprehensive strategy to ensure business continuity for all major corporate systems in the event of unscheduled downtime or disaster, ensuring that any contracts required are in place.
