The Senior Infrastructure Operations Engineer performs network and infrastructure support and development functions, contributing to the technical design function for NHFT. The post holder supports the development and maintenance of a forward-looking, resilient and secure technology architecture for the Trust, contributing to the IT Strategy while reflecting relevant national and local standards. The role provides technical input to ensure compliance with the NHFT Digital Technology Services strategy, policies and standards, and promotes secure ways of working across the Trust.
As a key member of the Network and Infrastructure team, the post holder supports the planning, development and delivery of IT strategy and architecture across NHFT services, including cloud-first migration activity, infrastructure resilience, cyber security and third-line escalation for complex or business-critical incidents.
The post holder will work flexibly to meet the needs of a 24/7 workforce and may occasionally be required to work outside core office hours of 08:00–18:00.
