Job summary

NHS Lanarkshire is seeking an IT Infrastructure Support professional to provide technical input and frontline desktop support across the organisation’s IT systems. The role includes handling service requests, coordinating with users and external partners, and ensuring service levels are met.

Applicants should have a degree in an IT discipline, experience in desktop support, and ideally familiarity with health service environments and on‑call duties.

Qualifications

• Degree level in a relevant IT discipline.
• Experience in a desktop related support role within an Information Technology Department.
• Additional technical training and certification in relevant skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance, advice and support to NHSL employees and approved 3rd party contractors to maximise use of IT desktop infrastructure and maintain service levels.
• Manage IT Service Desk calls, prioritising allocated work to meet SLA.
• Maintain high standard of customer service and manage user expectations to ensure incidents are resolved.
• Deal with user complaints and elevate to line management where appropriate.
