Job summary

Starling Bank, the UK’s leading digital bank, is hiring an Infrastructure Engineer to design and operate hybrid multi‑cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP) with a strong focus on security, reliability and automation.

You’ll work across data centres and cloud, collaborating with software teams to deliver scalable, maintainable infrastructure and modernize our platforms while keeping customer data safe. Hybrid working is supported.

Qualifications

• Strong background in data centre network topologies, BGP routing, and VRF configuration.

Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into technical implementations with delivery teams.
• Make changes to critical physical infrastructure that supports the bank.
• Design and build patterns and frameworks for use by other engineering teams.
• Introduce automation to reduce toil and improve reliability.
• Take ownership of projects and ensure timely delivery.
• Diagnose system and network failures under pressure.
• Keep abreast of new technologies and industry changes.
• Collaborate with Security and Developer Experience teams.
