Landmarc Support Services is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join our Technology Operations team at Westdown Camp. This role focuses on maintaining and developing Windows Server environments, Active Directory, virtualization, storage, backup and cloud technologies, to deliver secure, reliable IT services across the UK.

• 3+ years in Infrastructure/IT Operations role.
• Strong understanding of Active Directory and Azure AD.
• Experience with virtualization, storage, backup and disaster recovery.
• PowerShell scripting and automation.
• Familiarity with ITSM processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain core infrastructure platforms (Windows Server, AD, Entra ID, Hyper‑V, storage, backup).
• Support monitoring, patching, vulnerability remediation and DR activities.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, servers and applications; provide technical guidance.
• Aid with upgrades, refresh programs and cloud migrations to Azure.
• Collaborate across teams to deliver technology solutions and document procedures.

Job Introduction

We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join our Technology Operations team at Landmarc Solutions. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting, maintaining and developing the technology infrastructure that enables our business to operate effectively across the UK. The role has a strong focus on enterprise infrastructure, Windows Server environments, Active Directory, virtualisation, storage, backup and cloud technologies. Working as part of a collaborative technology team, you will help deliver secure, reliable and high-performing IT services while contributing to infrastructure improvements, modernisation projects and the ongoing adoption of Microsoft Azure technologies.

• Location: Westdown Camp, Tilshead, Salisbury, Wiltshire, SP3 4RS
• Contract: Permanent - Hybrid (2 days on-site)
• Hours:37 per week Monday to Friday

What You'll Do

As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will:

• Manage and maintain core infrastructure platforms including Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Hyper‑V, storage and backup environments.
• Support system monitoring, patch management, vulnerability remediation and disaster recovery activities to ensure secure and resilient services.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure, server and application issues, providing technical expertise across the organisation.
• Support infrastructure upgrades, technology refresh programmes and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist with the migration of services and workloads to Microsoft Azure.
• Work closely with colleagues across Technology Operations, Security, Development and Project teams to deliver technology solutions.
• Contribute to technical documentation, operational procedures and knowledge sharing within the team.
• Provide technical support and guidance to users and stakeholders across the business.

What We're Looking For

• At least 3 years' experience in an Infrastructure Engineer, Systems Engineer, Systems Administrator or IT Operations role.
• Good understanding of:
  • Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)
  • Virtualisation technologies, particularly Hyper‑V
  • Storage, backup and disaster recovery solutions
  • PowerShell scripting and automation
  • IT Service Management processes
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Experience of one or more of the following would be advantageous:

• Microsoft Azure administration and cloud services
• Infrastructure modernisation or cloud migration projects
• SCCM / Microsoft Configuration Manager
• SCVMM
• HPE server and storage platforms
• Networking technologies (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP)
• Cyber security and vulnerability management
• Microsoft 365 administration
