Job summary

Landmarc Solutions is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join the Technology Operations team. You will maintain Windows Server, AD, Entra ID, Hyper‑V, storage and backup, and help migrate services to Microsoft Azure.

This permanent, hybrid role in Wiltshire offers a competitive salary (£46,800–£57,200 DOE), 37 hours weekly, and benefits including pension, holiday purchase and life assurance. Collaborate across Security, Development and Project teams to deliver reliable IT services

Qualifications

• 3 years' experience in Infrastructure/IT Operations role.
• Strong experience supporting Windows Server environments.
• Knowledge of Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).
• Experience with virtualization (Hyper-V).
• Storage, backup and disaster recovery experience.
• PowerShell scripting and automation.
• ITIL v4 Foundation certification.
• Strong problem-solving and stakeholder skills.

Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join our Technology Operations team at Landmarc Solutions. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting, maintaining and developing the technology infrastructure that enables our business to operate effectively across the UK. The role has a strong focus on enterprise infrastructure, Windows Server environments, Active Directory, virtualisation, storage, backup and cloud technologies. Working as part of a collaborative technology team, you will help deliver secure, reliable and high-performing IT services while contributing to infrastructure improvements, modernisation projects and the ongoing adoption of Microsoft Azure technologies.

Role Details

Salary: £46,800.00 – £57,200.00 (DOE)

Location: Westdown Camp, Tilshead, Salisbury, Wiltshire, SP3 4RS

Contract: Permanent - Hybrid (2 days on-site)

Hours: 37 per week Monday to Friday

What You'll Do

• Manage and maintain core infrastructure platforms including Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Hyper‑V, storage and backup environments.
• Support system monitoring, patch management, vulnerability remediation and disaster recovery activities to ensure secure and resilient services.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure, server and application issues, providing technical expertise across the organisation.
• Support infrastructure upgrades, technology refresh programmes and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist with the migration of services and workloads to Microsoft Azure.
• Work closely with colleagues across Technology Operations, Security, Development and Project teams to deliver technology solutions.
• Contribute to technical documentation, operational procedures and knowledge sharing within the team.
• Provide technical support and guidance to users and stakeholders across the business.

What We're Looking For

Essential

• At least 3 years' experience in an Infrastructure Engineer, Systems Engineer, Systems Administrator or IT Operations role.
• Strong experience supporting Windows Server environments.
• Good understanding of:
• Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)
• Virtualisation technologies, particularly Hyper‑V
• Storage, backup and disaster recovery solutions
• PowerShell scripting and automation
• IT Service Management processes
• ITIL v4 Foundation certification.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Desirable

• Experience of one or more of the following would be advantageous:
• Microsoft Azure administration and cloud services
• Infrastructure modernisation or cloud migration projects
• SCCM / Microsoft Configuration Manager
