East Surrey College is seeking a motivated IT 1st Line Support Technician to join the IT Services team. You will provide first-line support for staff and students, troubleshoot issues, and assist with Microsoft 365 applications in a modern environment.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive IT 1st Line Support Technician to join our IT Services team and play a key role in supporting the systems and technologies that underpin teaching, learning and business operations across the College Group.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working with people and supporting a modern Microsoft 365 environment. You'll be part of a collaborative team, providing first-line technical support to staff and students while contributing to the continuous improvement of our IT services.
These are group-wide roles and may require attendance at both East Surrey College (Redhill) and John Ruskin College (Selsdon) to meet business needs. Roles may be primarily based at one campus, with some travel and occasional work required at the other site. Current vacancies are available at both locations.
The post also requires working one evening per week (Tuesday or Thursday), with hours of 10:30am to 7:00pm.
You’ll act as the first point of contact for IT support requests, providing timely and effective assistance via phone, email, ticketing systems and face-to-face support. You’ll troubleshoot hardware, software and network issues, configure and deploy devices, support Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint, and assist with account management and user access requests. You’ll also help maintain accurate documentation, support onboarding and offboarding activities, monitor IT systems, and work closely with colleagues to identify opportunities for service improvement.
