Job summary

Planet Recruitment is seeking an enthusiastic IT Technician to join our IT Support Team in Waterlooville. You will provide day-to-day technical support across a multi-site education environment, helping maintain and support Windows devices, networks, printers and classroom technologies.

The role involves first- and second-line support, fault diagnosis, equipment installation, and working closely with a small IT team to deliver high-quality services to around 2,000 users across sites.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed IT Technician to join our dedicated IT Support Team.

The successful candidate will provide day-to-day technical support and assist in the delivery of high-quality IT services across a multi-site education environment.

Working as part of a small and supportive IT team, you will help maintain and support a wide range of IT systems, infrastructure and equipment used by approximately 2,000 users across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing first- and second-line technical support to staff and users.
• Diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues.
• Supporting Windows desktop and laptop devices.
• Installing, configuring and maintaining IT equipment.
• Supporting network infrastructure and connectivity.
• Maintaining and troubleshooting printers and photocopiers.
• Supporting classroom and presentation technology.
• Assisting with the maintenance and support of telephone systems.
• Supporting CCTV and other technology systems.
• Assisting with audio, sound and lighting equipment.
• Setting up and preparing IT equipment for users and learning environments.
• Carrying out routine maintenance and technical checks.
• Escalating complex technical issues where appropriate.
• Working collaboratively with other members of the IT Support Team.

Person Specification

• Experience working in an IT support or technical support role.
