Job summary

Amentum seeks a Nuclear Technical Engineer to join the Independent Nuclear Assurance team supporting NNPP. You will deliver safety and technical advice for current and future Naval Reactor Plants, collaborating across disciplines to manage nuclear risk.

Qualifications

• Degree (Level 6) in Science or Engineering required.
• Professional institution membership desirable.
• Knowledge of Naval Reactor Plant is desirable.
• Knowledge of safety cases (structures and function) desirable.
• Familiarity with NRPA NSMAs, DSA02-DNSR, ONR SAPs etc.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Providing authoritative safety and technical assessments to MoD.
• Co-ordinating outputs across multiple technical disciplines.
• Supporting meetings with MoD and contractors.
• Ensuring adherence to safety, technical and regulatory standards.
