Amentum is at the heart of a nuclear power resurgence, delivering major programs across the lifecycle from research and design to decommissioning. We are seeking Safety Case Engineers to work in the UK and on global projects, contributing to next-gen systems, SMRs, AMRs, fusion and non-power reactors.

Qualifications

• Chartered professional status or working towards Chartered/Incorporated Engineer.
• Proven safety case management experience in a highly regulated environment.
• Knowledge of nuclear plant systems and associated design/assessment guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high quality technical work to demonstrate safe operation under regulatory requirements.
• Write and review safety assessments and safety case documents.
• Lead HAZID/HAZOP studies.
• Produce and check technical calculations and reports.
• Develop clear, logical technical arguments and justifications.
• Liaise with clients to understand challenges and develop solutions.
• Represent the business in technical meetings with clients, regulators and third parties.
• Mentor junior team members and share best practices across projects.
