Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Safety Case Engineer to join our nuclear services team in the UK. You will lead safety case production, perform hazard analyses and work across regulatory interfaces to ensure safe operation of complex facilities.

You will collaborate with clients and regulators, develop robust technical arguments, and mentor junior staff while advancing key projects in a highly regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in safety case management within a regulated environment.
• Knowledge of nuclear plant systems or structures and associated guidelines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high quality technical work to demonstrate safe operation and regulatory compliance.
• Write and review safety assessments and safety case documents.
• Lead HAZID/HAZOP studies and produce technical calculations and reports.
• Develop clear, logical technical arguments and justifications.
• Liaise with clients to understand challenges and develop solutions.
• Represent the business in meetings with clients, regulators and third parties.
• Help maintain technical capability and mentor junior team members.
