Job summary

Belmont Recruitment in Liverpool is seeking a Housing Support Worker to join an Outreach Service on a full-time, ongoing temporary contract. The role is 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, delivering practical and emotional support to vulnerable individuals and families in the community.

You will assist people experiencing homelessness to access accommodation and services, build positive relationships, and collaborate with housing providers, local authorities, and health services.

Qualifications

• Previous experience of working in Housing, Homelessness, Outreach, Substance Misuse etc
• Full UK Drivers Licence
• Enhanced DBS

Responsibilities

• Provide practical and emotional support to vulnerable individuals and families in the community.
• Support people experiencing homelessness to access appropriate accommodation, services and wider support.
• Build positive and professional relationships with service users, including those who may be hard to engage.
• Support individuals experiencing mental health difficulties, substance misuse, trauma, PTSD and other complex needs.
• Promote independence, wellbeing and positive outcomes.
• Carry out regular welfare checks and respond appropriately to changing needs or concerns.
• Work closely with housing providers, local authorities, health services, mental health teams and other agencies.
• Identify safeguarding concerns and follow appropriate procedures.
