Job summary

Praxis Care is seeking Support Workers to empower individuals in order to develop independent living skills, following person-centred plans. You will work with Team Leaders to implement support programmes and promote safe environments.

A DBS/AccessNI disclosure is required, and flexibility across shifts is expected. Starting salary is based on 39 hours FTE and will be pro rata to contracted hours; sponsorship licenses are not available at this time.

Qualifications

• Numeracy and literacy skills.
• Effective communication skills.
• Experience working within the health and social care field.

Responsibilities

• Support and empower individuals to develop or improve independent living skills as identified in person-centred plans.
• Collaborate with Team Leaders to prepare and implement individual and group support programmes.
• Promote a safe working and living environment, handling conflicts or challenging behaviours with appropriate techniques.
• Ensure medication is stored and administered per policy where necessary.
• Record and log relevant information according to reporting guidelines.
• Be aware of Health & Safety policies and participate in related training.
