Target Housing is seeking a compassionate Housing Support Worker to provide person-centred support to individuals with a range of needs across Rotherham. You will help residents develop skills for independent living and manage housing-related tasks with sensitivity.

The role covers support planning, tenancy processes, benefits guidance, and collaboration with local agencies. You will work in a supportive team, with training and progression opportunities, and meet essential requirements.

Competenze

• Experience supporting vulnerable individuals (housing or similar).
• Understanding of complex needs and trauma-informed approaches.
• Ability to engage and motivate people who may be hard to reach.
• Knowledge of welfare benefits and housing processes is desirable.
• Strong organisational and basic IT skills.

Mansioni

• Build positive relationships with residents and deliver tailored support plans.
• Manage a small caseload focused on successful move-on and independence.
• Assist with housing applications, benefits and tenancy processes.
• Liaise with local authority housing teams and partner agencies.
• Support move-on planning into more independent accommodation.
