Job summary

Target Housing Ltd in Rotherham is seeking a compassionate Housing Support Worker to deliver person-centred housing and support services across South Yorkshire. You will help residents sustain tenancies, manage finances, and access benefits while coordinating with partner agencies and Probation services.

You’ll work as part of an experienced team, with regular supervision, training, and a focus on trauma-informed practice. A full UK driving licence and own vehicle are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience or understanding of working with vulnerable individuals.
• Knowledge of welfare benefits system.
• Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical support to residents moving into and out of Target Housing accommodation.
• Develop tailored support plans based on individual needs and goals.
• Act as a keyworker, offering guidance, motivation and practical support.
• Help residents maximise income, manage budgets and navigate the benefits system.
• Promote tenancy rights and responsibilities, conduct risk assessments.
• Maintain confidential records and contribute to joint multi-agency meetings.
