Job summary

Target Housing Ltd. is seeking a Housing Support Worker to help residents regain independence and sustain tenancies through person-centred support and collaboration with partner agencies.

The role requires experience with vulnerable individuals, trauma-informed approaches, and knowledge of welfare benefits and housing processes. DBS/Update Service checks and Right to Work in the UK are required; two references are expected.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting vulnerable individuals (housing or similar setting).
• Understanding of complex needs and trauma-informed approaches.
• Ability to engage and motivate people who may be hard to reach.
• Knowledge of welfare benefits and housing processes (desirable).
• Strong organisational and basic IT skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• A Target Housing Enhanced DBS Check or Update Service Check.
• Right to Work in the UK (we do not offer sponsorship).
• 2 Employment References.

• Help residents maximise income and manage finances.

Target Housing is a charity and registered social landlord with over 30 years’ experience supporting vulnerable people. We take a psychologically and trauma-informed approach to help individuals achieve independence, sustain tenancies, and build better futures.

We’re looking for a compassionate and motivated Housing Support Worker to join our team. This is a great opportunity to support people to rebuild their independence.

About the Role

You’ll provide person-centred support to individuals with a range of needs, helping them develop the skills and confidence to move on to independent living, providing high quality housing management and support to vulnerable individuals.

Support & Engagement
