Connect Housing Association Ltd. is seeking a Housing Support Coach to work with residents, delivering practical training and emotional support to help build independent living skills. The role involves liaising with external agencies and maintaining safeguarding policies.

You will support residents with budgeting, tenancy management, and access to services, while promoting equality and inclusion in a supportive team environment. The position requires flexibility for evenings/weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering practical training and facilitating group sessions.
• Experience managing situations involving a level of risk.
• Experience working within policy and legislative frameworks.
• Experience of teamwork and partnership working with other agencies.
• Understanding of the challenges faced by vulnerable individuals in supported housing.
• Strong communication skills — verbal and written.
• Ability to manage your own workload, work independently, and remain calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Deliver practical and group-based training (e.g., cooking, budgeting, tenancy skills).
• Provide one-to-one and group support to residents, promoting independence and wellbeing.
• Manage risk effectively, responding appropriately to challenging situations.
• Liaise with external partners, agencies, and community organisations.
• Support residents to understand and manage tenancy/licence agreements, rent payments, and property maintenance.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with safeguarding and data protection policies.
• Promote equality, diversity, and inclusion in all areas of work.
