Job summary

Incommunities is seeking an Income Officer to join our team on a permanent basis. You will help protect rental income, reduce arrears and sustain tenancies through proactive debt recovery and tailored customer support in Bradford and surrounding areas.

You will provide budgeting and benefits advice, navigate legal processes, and build strong partnerships with DWP and local agencies. The role requires knowledge of social housing, excellent communication, and a commitment to preventing

Qualifications

• Knowledge of social housing sector and at-risk customers.
• Experience advising on benefits and budgeting.
• Experience advocating for people with debt.
• Knowledge of benefit and housing management processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Represent Incommunities in County Court for arrears when required.
• Provide budgeting and benefits advice to promote financial independence.
• Conduct telephone triage and provide tailored debt advice.
• Build links with DWP and Housing Benefit departments.
• Produce notices and supporting documents for tenancy proceedings.
• Develop action plans for customers at risk of tenancy failure.
