Job summary

RG Setsquare is seeking an experienced Income Officer to join a West Yorkshire housing organisation. You will own the income management service on a patch basis, handling current and former tenant arrears and service charges, with a strong emphasis on early intervention to prevent debt escalation.

You will deliver high-quality income collection to meet monthly, quarterly, and annual targets, prepare legal casework for court hearings, maintain accurate records, and provide regular performance

Qualifications

Income Officer - West Yorkshire

RG Setsquare is looking for an experienced and motivated Income Officer to join a highly rewarding and successful Housing organisation based in West Yorkshire. You will join the Income and Specialist Housing team, taking ownership of the income management service on a patch basis, including current tenant arrears, former tenant arrears, and service charges. You will focus heavily on early intervention and prevention of debt escalation, placing a strong emphasis on personal contact with the customer.

Your new role as Income Officer:

You will deliver, high-quality income and arrears collection services to meet challenging monthly, quarterly, and annual performance targets, managing a patch-based caseload, prioritising early intervention and the prevention of debt escalating as well as navigating universal credit schedules and entitlements. You will have responsibility for preparing comprehensive casework for court hearing, and maintain details, accurate, and timely customer records and provide regular performance data to management.

The Experience & Qualifications Required:

You will have a proven track record in rent account management, working knowledge of Capita/Open Housing systems, understanding of DWP Universal Credit Schedules and Entitlement. You will be a proactive communicator who excels at personal, direct customer contact to resolve debt and manage accounts early. You will also be a confident coordinator capable of preparing detailed legal casework for Court Hearings.
