Job summary

Flying High Partnership is seeking a caring Teaching Assistant to support children across the classroom, working closely with the class teacher to deliver high-quality learning experiences. The 2 days per week are likely to be Thursday and Friday during term time, with responsibilities including 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with additional needs.

You will help create a safe, inclusive environment, support emotional development, and work collaboratively with families and staff to help

Qualifications

• Experience in supporting children with additional needs (SEND).
• Ability to adapt learning activities to meet diverse pupil needs.
• Reflective practitioner who records and communicates pupil progress clearly.
• Calm, nurturing approach supporting emotional development and inclusion.
• Reliable team player building strong relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.
• Committed to safeguarding policies and high professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide targeted support for pupils, including those with additional needs.
• Deliver structured group activities and adapt resources under guidance.
• Support emotional and behavioural development to promote inclusion and confidence.
• Build positive relationships to support learning, wellbeing and development.
• Collaborate with class teachers and families to create a nurturing environment.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold safeguarding procedures.
