Job summary

Bilsthorpe Flying High Academy invites applications for a caring Teaching Assistant (Grade 2) to join a vibrant primary school. You will support children across the classroom, work closely with the class teacher and wider staff to deliver high-quality learning experiences and ensure every pupil is fully supported.

Whether assisting the whole class, working with small groups, or delivering 1:1 support for children with additional needs, your role will be crucial in helping every child feel safe,

Qualifications

• Experience of supporting learning in a classroom setting is desirable.
• Good literacy and numeracy, able to follow teacher direction and support learning.
• Value inclusion and believes in potential of every child.
• Flexible, dependable, and maintains professionalism and confidentiality.
• Understanding safeguarding and wellbeing in a school setting.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils during teacher-led activities, encouraging independence and active participation.
• Prepare and maintain a positive classroom environment, assist with displays and resources.
• Promote positive behaviour and support social development during learning and break times.
• Build positive relationships with pupils to support learning, wellbeing and development.
• Work with teachers, support staff and families to create a nurturing, inclusive environment.
• Uphold safeguarding procedures and school's values in all interactions.

About the Role

We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic, and committedTeaching Assistant to join our team. This role will involve supporting childrenacross the classroom, working closely with the class teacher and wider schoolstaff to deliver high-quality learning experiences and ensure all children arefully supported.

Key Responsibilities

Grade 2

• Support pupils during teacher-led activities, encouraging independence and active participation.
• Prepare and maintain a positive and engaging classroom environment, including assisting with displays and resources.
• Promote positive behaviour and support children's social development during learning and break times.
• Build positive relationships with pupils to support their learning, wellbeing, and personal development.
• Work collaboratively with class teachers, support staff, and families to create a nurturing and inclusive environment.
• Maintain confidentiality, uphold safeguarding procedures, and model the school's values in all interactions.
