Job summary

Edinburgh College is seeking a Learning Support Advisor to join our Learning Support & Disability Services team. You will identify, assess and coordinate support for students who disclose a disability or additional support need, ensuring access to learning and achievement of goals.

Using your knowledge of disability, inclusion and relevant legislation, you will work with students, academic staff and external partners to promote inclusive practice, provide guidance to staff, and help implement

Qualifications

• Knowledge of disability legislation relevant to further and higher education.
• Ability to assess the impact of disabilities and additional support needs on learning and participation.
• Knowledge of inclusive approaches to learning and teaching.
• Experience supporting individuals with a range of additional support needs (e.g., SpLDs, mental health, autism, sensory or physical disabilities).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to provide sensitive support and guidance to staff.
